Poker is a card game for two to ten players where the objective is to win the pot. Thus, poker is always played with chips (either contingent or real money) that each player has (“stack”) and wants to expand. The poker rules might change based on the kind of poker being played at the table. Yet, the rules of traditional poker are generally the same for all games.
Nonetheless, poker is intriguing because it is not only a card game in the strict sense. Obviously, the objective of every poker player is to collect the best possible hand in order to win the pot, but there is also an element of trade, which is separated into multiple rounds (“streets”). Yet during this trade, players might win the pot without a winning hand.
